The Autumn Gathering, a coming together of some of the finest folk, roots & traditional musical artists from across the Cumbrian landscapes with special guests artists from beyond the region to celebrate in an evening of songs, tunes & stories within the warmth and grace from such folk luminaries Tryckster, Thomas McCarthy, Catherine Ashcroft and The Black Guards
Tryckster - Legendary Cumbrian roots band with their trademark brand of powerful folk-driven original songs with a social conscience.
Thomas McCarthy - " Last bastion of the oral tradition and keeper of the finest songs. Most gifted singer and has audiences across the land fall under a most mystical and ancient spell everytime he sings. "A voice I will always look forward to hearing for the rest of my life! " Sam Lee
Catherine Ashcroft - An exciting & talented Uilleann pipe player from the north of England, Cumbria. Taught herself the pipes from an early age. Releasing four albums - Take flight and Follow in 2008 - and releasing three albums as one half of the brilliant Mochara traditional duo with her musical partner Maurice Dickson.
The Black Guards - Fast rising High octane Six piece West Cumbrian folk, roots band blending original material with traditional folk songs & tunes.

NORTH Cumbrian artists come together to show new work

The work on display features a wide variety of styles, and includes pottery, sculpture, jewellery from natural sources, paintings and prints both non representational and traditional.
