The Prefab Four, from The Cavern in Rutland to Shabby Road
On January 21, 1959 the Rutles story began at 43 Egg Lane, Liverpool, where Ron Nasty and Dirk McQuickly first bumped into each other. Ron invited Dirk to help him stand up. Dirk, merely an ameteur drinker, agreed and on that spot a legend was created, a legend that will last a lunchtime.
The Rutles are a rock band known for their visual and aural pastiches and parodies of the Beatles created by Eric Idle and Neil Innes for 1970s television.
Re-live classics like Denny Lane, W.C. Fields Forever, All You Need Is Lunch & Hello Get Lost
