You are cordially invited to the grand opening on July the 7th of Northern Songs, an art exhibition two years in the making that celebrates the current music scene in and around Carlisle, with a particular focus on the day to day life of Carlisle City Council’s flagship arts and entertainments venue, The Old Fire Station.
With the generous support and backing of Carlisle City Council, Northern Songs presents a unique view of the Carlisle music scene, combining visual multimedia, fine art and popular music under one highly distinctive banner.
With unfettered access to the artists and musicians who have performed at the venue, making numerous on the spot sketches and studies of their activities on and off stage, Marcer invites you to experience a culminating solo exhibition that shines its brightest light on the OFS as a vibrant creative hub for Carlisle’s home grown musical fraternity.

Open to the public July 8th - 29th
Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm & Sundays 12 - 4pm

The Fountain Gallery opened on Wigton’s High Street in 2011. It’s aim was to provide a permanent display space for original art & craft created by North Cumbrian Artists
